Last month, I won the Social Champion of the Year award at the Mental Health Blog Awards. But the truth is, I feel far from a champion.
This isn’t a running post, if anything it is far more important than anything else I’ve written about on here because while my running has been all about lengthening my time on this planet and filling it with adventures in the past few months I’ve been dealing with something that has threatened to take all of that away.
It's just halfway through my personal trainer session and I’m in the bathroom throwing up....
After a particular treat filled couple of weeks in India I sat down during my flight home and made new resolutions to appease my guilt-filled belly and my reinvigorated mind...
I took one step after the other and now the man in the mirror differs from expectations. The mind-numbing power of the big picture is something that has struck me this week. I’ve never had or thought about a big picture, not one. A goal or aim sure but never the whole story, my overrunning arc. Running has made me acutely aware of this.
